Hi there,
There's an issue with the in-built Codeigniter e-mail class. A while ago I noticed the same problem with the previous versions of Codeigniter (2), but I secretly hoped it would have been solved by now (currently running 3.0.3)
The issue is that attachments are not read well on iOS-devices. When I try to attach a valid PDF or CSV for instance, I'm not able to load the attachment on my iPhone (by the way, I've checked it with different iPhones over the past years, while running several different versions of CI). I can however open these attachments with Roundcube for example.
Although I've created a workaround to prevent this issue from occurring (at least for version 2, and it might work as well with CI3).
I think however, that this issue really needs to be solved with an upcoming update.
