Very, very cool Michael :-)

After seeing this I got inspired to try making my own DataMapper, using the capabilities shown in your first post as the starting goals, although excluding the validation since I wasn't as interested in that part.

From your latest examples though it looks like we've taken slightly different approaches so I'll be interested to see how our final versions compare. I'd brainstormed from your first post and the information I found at DataMapper.org. I've finished off all the capabilities in your first post and have continued on to be able to retrieve related records and save or delete them. Currently working on the adding and removing relationships and then some more features such as ordering, grouping, max, min, avg, sum, count etc.
