My Oracle tables have CLOB's, how do I select records?

Hoping the answer doesn't involve iterating over the fields of every selected table row, that won't be good for performance, I think.

I've been banging my head for days, does someone have a clearly obvious answer that will make me feel even more foolish? <wry smile>
