Don't Trust CI4 debug bar

I'm not sure of the code you're using... but when you're using "echo", the content is generated server side... which means ALL the data is always available at the time the page is "going to print"... whereas the debugbar's display is client-side (which is only updated on a page refresh- and not when it's refreshed using AJAX).
