Weak benchmark results

There is a popular TechEmpower Framework Benchmarks project that measures and compares the performance of almost anything that can be used to develop web applications. I looked at the results of round 22 published late last year and surprised by the unexpectedly weak results of CodeIgniter. I don't have enough experience to draw conclusions, but it seems to me that the problem is in the implementation of the test. Can someone review this code?
