Completely agree with you. His first post is to say 'CI is not very good and you should not use PHP'

@cartalot
I really enjoyed seeing your test. But of course although it made me smile I read nothing more into it. I did not like the second link so much, where CI seems to not do so well. But again I do not read anything serious into it. (Those test must have taken ages to set up).

As Ivo Miranda was pointing out, there is a lot more to a framework than speed. I can well imagine though, on significantly sized sites, speed becoming a critical issue. Fortunately (or perhaps unfortunately) that has never been an issue for me :-(

Best wishes,

Paul.

Here is a CI 3.1.4 generated web page Pingdom test knocked quickly p for demonstration purposes...

https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/dxuGKo/http...mg-002.php

Above link shows how a valid 5.1 MB AMP page loading in 1.35 secs!

I started using https://www.AmpProject.org and it is not only for mobiles! As long as the web page is responsive it resizes to all platforms.

Feel free to download the source file below, upload to your own server and use PingDom to test the load time. All images are hard-coded so should work on your site.
