We have an application in codeIgnighter (version 3.1.6). Our xampp php version is 7.4.2 . We planned to upgrade it to php8.
We tried to use our same application. But it is not working. But upgrading codeIgnighter 3 .x t0 4.x is not an east only. It's like a new project development.
Can you please help us to solve this. IS it good to upgrade it to 3.1.6 to 4.x . ??
Shall we make any changes to compatible with PHP 8 using current 3.1.6 files.
Can you please help us which one is advisable?
1.upgrade it to 3.1.6 to 4.x
2.do the nearst 3.x version upgrade which is suitable for php8
3.shall we do any code changes in the current 3.x ersion coding to compatible with php8.
