Gravity4 Inc is looking for experienced CodeIgniter developers to join our team and help us develop marketing/advertising software that will change world of advertising. Some of our existing modules are developed in CodeIgniter so we are looking for developers which known CodeIgniter in and out. This is remote contract position.

As a PHP Developer, you will be responsible for building world-class solutions and owning improvements on one or more existing products in Gravity4’s product universe, while working hand in hand with a team of other talented developers. This role requires an exceptional ability to learn on the job, to take total ownership of your work, and to jump into a variety of different problem sets that might be beyond your experience set. The PHP Developer will spend most of his/her time writing, testing, and deploying high-quality code while working with other product teams to integrate across the product universe.


Responsibilities:

• Analyze and amend PHP software and MySQL database errors in a timely and accurate fashion and provide status reports to the Applications Development Manager.

• Work closely with the Architects, developers, program and product managers conceptualizing and developing new software programs, databases and applications.

• Meet deliverable schedule in the development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects.

• Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications.

• Consistently write, translate, and code software programs, stored procedures and applications according to specifications with the guidance of the Applications Development Manager.

• Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.

• Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.

• Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, database administrators and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or the organization’s software systems or databases.



Qualifications:

• 3+ years or equivalent proven experience of software design and development experience in modern PHP development

• Excellent technical knowledge of PHP

• Strong knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or MongoDB

• Working knowledge of PHP frameworks such as Kohana and/or Symfony

• Knowledge of and experience in RESTful web services

• Excellent knowledge of Apache and Linux/CentOS configuration and command line usage

• Hands on experience working in integrated development environments

• Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies

• Hands-on software troubleshooting experience

• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services, especially S3, RDS and AWS API Tools an advantage

• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain Perl applications helpful

• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
