I will soon be releasing the code to a new portal I've created.

If anyone has comments please let me hear them and I may make alterations to the code before public release.

1. Upgrade to CodeIgniter 3.
2. Have a look at this design (MIT license): https://github.com/almasaeed2010/AdminLTE

1. CodeIgniter 3 is under active development and is not yet a stable release.
2. The design is quite good but it would take a fair bit of time to make it a working system. The one I created is fully working and is relatively simple to extend.

I have also seen that frontend before but none the less thanks for sharing.

I think you have made a great job. I think if you can add multi-theme and multi-site support to your job it will be very good I think.

ivantcholakov is right. You should write it in CI 3. It's pretty stable.

I have now added a very simple theme structure which can be expanded. I'm not too sure on the multi-site support as it will depened on how the system is to be used. You can always install the system in a sub-directory and change the .htaccess with "RewriteBase /your-sub-dir/".

Please let me know your thoughts.

Yes, I will update when the final version is released. I've left out rc3 so far but I may make an interim release time permitting.
