What is the best IDE for development with CI

#21
I have been using the ActiveState Komodo IDE for years now.
I use it not only for CI but also for WordPress, PERL and Zend development.

It has a great debugger, shows syntax for HTMl, PHP, JS, PERL and many more even if mixed in the same document and autocomplete function.
It has macros, code snippets and a plethora of other function. It integrates with SVN and I think with Git as well. But I dont use git so cannot be sure on that.
On the package it said needs Windows 7 or better. So I installed Linux.

PHP storm is pretty amazing
Codeigniter is simply one of the tools you need to learn to be a successful developer. Always add more tools to your coding arsenal!

Try Visual Studio Code.
You can use Souce Control, Debugger and more in VS Code. And you can install extensions to enhance the work with PHP, CodeIgniter, PHPUnit, etc.

PhpStorm is the best IDE for PHP. But is not free.

If you want a free editor/IDE for full stack projects, I consider Atom the best.

For quick codes, Sublime Text. Because it loads faster than Atom and is lighter.

In the terminal, VIm.
