How to upgrade from CI 1.0 to 3.1.4

Hello, as you can tell from the title, I would like to upgrade my CodeIgniter from 1.0 to 3.0+.
Don't ask questions along the lines of why are you still using 1.0 or anything, please.
I just really need help lol.

Start at the bottom, and work your way up.

Probably best to re-write with the new version 3.1.6 from the begging.

Yea, technically you can go through all the upgrade instructions in the docs, but this here also implies a migration from PHP 4 to at least 5.3 ... This is not going to be easy and very questionable if it's worth the effort compared to a full rewrite.

Current PhP version running on it is 5.6.
CI = 1.0
