Google Search Console returns 404 error but browser shows them properly
#1

Hello,

I have developed a website with CodeIgniter 3 and Wordpress as the content manager. It has a main link with other internal links. When I access from any browser to any of the links it works properly. However, when I use Google Search Console or Google Speed Insights to test my site, it returns a 404 error when I test any of the internal links (the main link works properly).

My .htaccess looks like that:

Code:
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^system.*
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?/$1 [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^application.*
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?/$1 [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?/$1 [L]
</IfModule>
<IfModule !mod_rewrite.c>
    ErrorDocument 404 /index.php
</IfModule>

And my index.php:

Does anyone know what is happening and how could I solve it? I have spent many hours searching and trying, but I still haven't found the solution. Please help me, I need to solve it as soon as possible! If not Google doesn't index the subpages (internal links) Sad

Thanks in advance,

Marta

Does your application require you to login? Try running your application from another device if that's the case and see if you get 404 from there.
