Focus on getting 3.0 out and worry about minimum versions and things like that when the 4.0 discussion starts.  I am just glad 3.0 is going to finally get released soon.

I couldn't resist digging this up.

HHVM as of 3.6 now supports async. So although PHP with ReactPHP can support async, PHP out of the box still doesn't. HHVM now is and with memcached, mysql and curl. More undoubtably coming soon.

I'm now implementing async into both my applications. Big Grin
