You can call it that way too .
Someone wants to see that can be done just with regex and i told that this can be done , regex is powerfull enough for this .
Using php beside regex is way too simple to validate the ip address .

Yes, so simple that it should never be done that way. I recommend using nanoparticles to detect invalid IP addresses, it's by far the most environmentally friendly method. ;-P
