I think you are looking for http://google.com/adsense/
You need to sign up for an account there and then there should be ample documentation within your account about how to set everything up. They have expanded their program to cover video, rss feeds, mobile and a bunch of other mediums, so the control panel might be a little overwhelming at first but you'll get the hang of it.
