Integrated Vanilla with my header and look (it looks pretty spiffy). Also created a library to login from my user table to vanilla, set cookie, etc.

You need to use .htaccess to eliminate the index.php and give you clean URLs

I'm actually not too worried about the rewrite rule yet until SEO ramps after BETA.
Malicious bots seem to have more trouble probing directories with the unfriendly index.php (one entry point) in place as well.

if you want to use .htaccess here is the good one its working fine for all projects
