its significant in terms of codeigniter history and the upcoming release of CI 3 -- or put another way

I'd just like to reiterate that v4 is still very much in the discussion phase and nothing has been committed to from the counsel. I am working on building some excitement in the PHP community around v4 though, a key to that will be making it more modern.
