Video tutorials - El Forum - 05-03-2009

Currently the CodeIgniter site features 2 video tutorials, they are both of great quality (it's one of the things that got me started) however, there are only 2 video tutorials. My question is if there are any plans to add maybe 2 - 3 extra video tutorials that will continue building the blog. If there aren't any plans for it I was wondering if maybe we, the community, could add a few ?
I know that quality is supposed to beat quantity, but in this case some extra video tutorials could really help out the newcomers as in most cases video material is much better than just a text tutorial.

I totally agree with you, but you would need to get permission from Rick or Derek to have them along side the other 2 (but there's nothing stopping you from hosting them elsewhere)

I looked throw the video briefly. You could throw in a word or to about structure. Maybe show how things could be separated in model controller and view.
The point being, codeigniter is said to be suitable for MVC structure and the videos are showing something else.

On my blog, Programmers Voice - I'm posting 1 screencast a day from Monday to Friday this week and there's 3 CodeIgniter related screencasts.
The first is on Monday, simply an introduction to CodeIgniter.
The next will be posted on Thursday, using the language class to internationalise your website. This could be of the most use.
And the finally on Friday I will drill down into The Authentication Library - to show you how everything works and what's coming next.
I will continue to post CodeIgniter related tutorials and screencasts on Programmers Voice in the future as well. But for now the above 3 CodeIgniter screencasts are scheduled and ready.

If I remember correctly, the blog tutorial said that some of the controller logic should be in a model... kind of like as if in the next installment, they would introduce models...

Well yea, I actually also posted this as I was interested in recording a few screencasts myself as well. Problem right now is that I do not have a decent microphone, I will probably buy one this week (if they aren't expensive as hell).
