Is CI going to follow the trend going on now for dropping php4 support in a future version? I'm just curious because there's some things that I think could be done better if CI went pure php5. With the ongoing trend towards that direction by other major php software out there, I was curious what the CI stance is.

I'm confident CI will continue to run under php4 for some time. I think it'd be safe for another year at the very minimum.

Coolfactor got it. There are no current plans to drop support (full support) for PHP 4.
