Student Exam Registration - El Forum - 08-05-2009

Hi y'all,

I am quite new to CI and I am just learning how to get things done with it. I wanted to know if CI could hold under the pressure of 6-8 million users at any go. Cos my company are supposed to make a students registration application for several hundred of schools.

So basically the question is can CI handle enterprise level web traffic? I think CI is not given enough credit, but I would like to hear from some experienced coders who have used CI extensively?

Thanks again.

it's not really a matter of CI being able to handle it, that's more an infrastructure thing, you'd need load balanced/clustered web/database servers to handle that kind of load. are you sure about the 6-8 million? that would work out at about 14,000 students per school for 'several hundred' schools.
