i tested CI in a sudirectory at Localhost and at a WWW
I have only changed base_url at config.php
routes file same unchanged.
This runs:
http://localhost/CI/welcome/test
But this does not run
http://www.mysite.com/CI/welcome/test ???
it runs this way
http://www.mysite.com/CI/index.php/welcome/test
why is this difference between localhost and WWW?
how to remove index.php requirement?

This problem is with .htaccess. As it seems, it doesnt work in the live server. It might help if you put your .htaccess for us to see.
