I was curious.

I like the look of this highlighter used on these forums, I wouldn't mind getting my hands on it.

Is it the one built into CodeIgniter?
Is it open source?


Any info would be a great addition to my brain.

No problem.

Word on the street is that ExpressionEngine 2.0 is coming out in December, and it's built on CodeIgniter, so definitely look that up.

Yup, Ben is right on the money.

EE pretty much uses the same code that the highlight_code() function of the text helper uses.

It's essentially PHP's highlight string function with some wrapping code.
