Need hosting recommendation - El Forum - 11-26-2009 [eluser]taewoo[/eluser] Looking for a hosting solution that can 1) support Codeigniter (thus PHP and mysql) 2) supports standard .htacess (i know Dreamhost and Hostgator have weird .htacess issues) - i need to do URI AND query string 3) relatively stable as far as stability 4) relatively inexpensive Thanks Need hosting recommendation - El Forum - 11-26-2009 [eluser]Flemming[/eluser] I use Fasthosts or 1and1 (both UK based) and they're fine for Codeigniter, PHP, MySQL, .htaccess. what would you consider to be relatively inexpensive? Need hosting recommendation - El Forum - 11-26-2009 [eluser]eoinmcg[/eluser] I've tried many different hosts in my time, all with their issues. For the past year I've been using Slicehost.com and cannot praise them highly enough. Excellent documentation, no downtime to date and reasonably priced. Its a great host and it does support .htaccess files and so on. Its like $5.95USD(i think) right now. My only issue is weird FTP. You have to use the IP address and not your ftp domain they tell you to use.(ftp.yoursite.com). |
