iPage .htaccess - El Forum - 03-04-2011 [eluser]k7faq[/eluser] Does anyone know of what special tricks are needed with CI 2.0 and iPage? I have a copy of the site running on my local Ubuntu 10.04 and PHP 5.3.2-1ubuntu4.7 and iPage's Server is at PHP 5.2.17 on my localbox all the urls work just fine; i.e. http://localhost/controller/function Uploading the same files to the iPage server I must use the index.php reference; i.e. http://mydomain.com/index.php/controller/function Anyone have any ideas what is different with iPage servers in relation to 2.0? As a side note, I _do not_ have to rely on index.php references with CI 1.7 on the exact same server. Thanks Steven .htaccess: # for iPage.com hosting DirectoryIndex index.php index.html index.htm ErrorDocument 401 /index.php ErrorDocument 403 /index.php ErrorDocument 404 /index.php <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / #Removes access to the system folder by users. #Additionally this will allow you to create a System.php controller, #previously this would not have been possible. #'system' can be replaced if you have renamed your system folder. Have you solved the problem? Thanks Nemanja iPage .htaccess - El Forum - 08-16-2013 [eluser]k7faq[/eluser] [quote author="nemanjag" date="1376646263"]I have same problem like you with codeigniter and Ipage server. Have you solved the problem? Thanks Nemanja[/quote] For numerous reasons I dumped iPage and have my own VPS hosted on Linode.com. I got fed up with their limitations and excuses not to mention they use a remote DB server that was regularly dropping connections causing my apps to fail as my CI apps are dependent upon a MySQL database. Sorry I can not offer you better information. I am not sure if I even have a copy of the file that I did manage to get to work with their service. Depending on your situation and the number of sites you are intending to host I would recommend Linode.com. My $20/month service is currently hosting 7 sites with no problems. Drop me a line if you need / want more information. Steven |
