Training Video's - El Forum - 04-20-2011 [eluser]runs.amock[/eluser] I been watching the training video's, and most of the stuff does not work in v2.0.2. I had to fix a lot of stuff that has changed in versions. Scaffolding was the first thing I tried from a training exercise (i came from ruby on rails), and after 3 hours of not being able to get it going, i found out it was depreciated. i mean, wtf. Most of the video training has bugs/errors/problems. Is it possible to update the manuals as I go along? Is it possible to version the training video's on the web page, with a big warning they may not work on the new version without some debugging? Coming from jsp/spring and ruby/rails, I actually like CI the most. I feel as though I am not tied down and hope their stuff works. Right now, I have a friend just learning ROR, and I died laughing as he could not get a logon screen up and running because Rails just went to version 3 and many gems are broken. I explained that he just has to learn how to make gems. I told him he had to use the old version. That is killing him. Maybe they should say that on their training stuff?
