Gii (Yii auto generation system) makes creating a skeleton framework of MVCs and CRUD functionality ridiculously easy. Of course, once you get past all of that MVC skeleton, it's documentation is a little less straight forward compared to a CI, but it's still very powerful and appealing. CI really needs to have something like this in my opinion. It greatly speeds development. I can't imagine that all frameworks won't move to this kind of approach at some point.
