Can we get real here?
I downloaded CI and was watching the video tutorials and I am absolutely amazed that they are outdated. Couldn't you just remove them? Or at the VERY LEAST mention the fact that they will not work with the newest version of CI?
Talk about disappointment...

LOL.... you'd enjoy the lulz more if you were part of the previous thread of someone complaining about this. If you care to complain either:
1) write a letter/email to expression engine and maybe they will fix it.
2) try not to sound so melodramatic and maybe one of use will feel a desire to make some new vids.
(the previous person was an outright troll... you just sound melodramatic)...
That said... if you have an actual question/doubt on something just let us know and you'll find a very impressive response time.

I agree that video should either be updated or removed completely (or at least we can add one line html in strong font saying that "for version 1.7" only). It seems there is already a bug filed here 3 months ago, but sadly nobody seems to care.

Please, dont take it in a wrong way. When i said "Come on... Not again", that referring to this thread, and i think everyone here is not in the mood to started that such un-quality discussion and non-related programming thread like that.
Also, at that thread, the author (Derek Jones) was clarified, why that video is out of date : " I did those before I even worked for EllisLab". In addition, he already stated, at that thread, "Newer and better videos are forthcoming, but the old ones are not so unuseful that we thought it necessary to take them down.", and i believe he is on his way.
I hope you cool with that ;-)

So, why not state it on the page where the videos RESIDE? Makes too much sense to me.

All I am saying is this...this is a web development platform that proclaims to be easy to use, update, blah, blah, blah...and NO ONE IS LEADING BY EXAMPLE, but stating excuses?
