Hi,
I've noticed that a lot of CI developers are using Doctrine these days. I also understand that users of other frameworks use Doctrine too. I have a sneaky suspicion that Doctrine is quite important and something that might be worth learning.
Trouble is, I don't know what it does.
Could somebody please explain to me in a very simple sentence or two what Doctrine is for and what its key benefits might be? I'm stumped.
