Flashdata in 2.0.3 - El Forum - 10-10-2011

Unpacked the updated CI 2.0.3 folder and enabled it for my developement site and I found that flashdata stops working.
I searched the bug tracker and found this comment:

Is this how it's meant to be? Or is it not a bug? Should have been commented in the release notes if so.
I rather not have to change a config setting based on a bug. But, for now I just might have to for some added security of the 2.0.3 update.
