URI difference between servers - El Forum - 10-20-2011

Hi all,
I have an application published in two servers (development and production) and a customer reported a bug: the following URL returns an error in production enviroment (please ignore the spaces between the URL encoded characters):
http://software.cacambas.com/address/retrieve/Rua% 20Ab% C3% B3bora% 2C% 2076% 2C% 20Uberaba% 2C% 20Curitiba% 2C% 20PR
But the same URL on development enviroment works nicely:
http://cacambas.codekings.com.br/address/retrieve/Rua% 20Ab% C3% B3bora% 2C% 2076% 2C% 20Uberaba% 2C% 20Curitiba% 2C% 20PR
The two servers are running the same application, with the same CodeIgniter version and PHP 5.2. Could somebody please suggest me a possible cause for this problem?
