PHP missing postgres config - results in blank page - El Forum - 03-09-2012

After spending some time, accidentally read on forums that it results in blank page.
I could not find anywhere in the logs any clue that I was (indeed) missing pgsql PHP library.
Maybe (if possible) to check if selected driver exists and if not, to create nice error page with actually usefull info!?
