i recently upgraded my server from ubuntu 10.01 to 11 ,i realised images in my application were not being displayed when uploaded but images that were already uploaded were still displaying. what could be the problem.

Could be a shot in the dark, but could it be a permission problem. Try adding user apache or wheel to the images.
