Hi! did anyone here try to extract the activeRecord class and use it in native php? I'm currently creating school project and we are not allowed to use any frameworks...

But you're allowed to use part of a framework? Not sure they would see a distinction. An abstraction layer is kind of a framework. Why not create your own db class or just use pure php/mysql?
