Who is out there would like to spend money to fix the CodeIgniter and Remove Ellislab crap.

I will pay someone to fix this whole thing and make it php 5.4 but it has to be as is.. (light Weight and shared hosting friendly)

What you guys think of of making it a paid project and donation to download??

personally i think turning CI into a paid/must donate framework is a very bad idea.

Updating CI to php 5.4 i can agree with, and keeping it as it in the way you mentioned.

Removing all the 'Ellislab crap' as you put it, is very bad form.

CodeIgniter works just fine under 5.4. What are your specific issues with it?

If you want namespacing, Composer-integration, shortened array syntax, etc, then CodeIgniter is probably not what you're looking for.
