video demo to launch product( open source) - ignitedcms - 02-07-2017
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to ask a quick question on when you're demo'ing a product a video is a good way to quickly showcase what it can do.
It's an excellent idea and I want to go ahead with it. However, I was thinking should I just talk over the video or add annotations (in something like after effects or premier.)
The latter will be tedious as hell, but won't have the embarrassment of my voice. Perhaps I could even hire a voice actor?
What do you think, I'm particularly interested in feedback from bonfire CMS authors as I feel their video demos are a good benchmark of what I'm trying to achieve.

Hi,
A video, is nice but not with annotation (just my opinion).
Other alternative:
http://introjs.com/ or http://bootstraptour.com/
It is a bit tedious to setup at first but when it is done it is easy to modify if you update your product since you can just add and edit what has changed.

Yeah I had a look at this it looks useful but too tedious to present a product demo. I'm going to try a screen recording over the weekend thanks.
