You can do whatever you would like, including adding Angular seo library.
That has nothing to do with Codeigniter itself.

The crawlers do not need a rich featured pretty styled gui, they only want to see the content, so you do not need to give them a snapshot of a page that has been built for humans. You must think of what do the crawler want, and give him only that.
