Hi, don't know if this is the correct forum but.. I have downloaded 1.6.2 a couple of times and winzip won't open it 'does not appear to be a valid archive'

could you try (1) another browser besides IE; (2) disabling any download managers you have temporarily; (3) another unzipping program? 7-zip is free and excellent. I'm not certain any of these is the solution, but I think you'll hit most of the big ones.

edhrx: I think you downloaded the files from the cached proxy. I recommend you to use another proxy so you can download the correct file.
