Choice of WYSIWYG-editor |

SPAW is bloody horrible! It has very messy configuration and requires a huge amount of PHP to get it running. I had SPAW in the early versions of PyroCMS and I ripped it out with great glee. It may have handled the encoding/decoding of HTML very well but I felt dirty for using it and never want to go anywhere near it. TinyMCE has overcome almost all of its previous issues and has a huge amount of support. When syntax error (a.k.a @badsyntax) gets on and finishes TinyCIMM then TinyMCE will be the editor of choice for all us CodeIgniter types.

It features some really weird coding which makes it really hard to modify/extend. The BIG problem is that both SPAW and TinyMCE both produces horrible xhtml. From now on I only use WYSIWYM-editors. I might be a little picky about the quality of user input though...
