show_error() show up on Firefox and Chrome but not IE

Hi,
when i add show_error('this is error') functions in my controller code is display well in Firefox and Chrome but not in IE. Default IE page was displayed instead.

Any suggestions?

IE looks at the size of the 404 page to decide whether to display its own error.
All you have to do is make sure that the size of your file is greater than 512 bytes.
