Is this kind of true modular approach possible with codeignitor if so can anyone point me to some examples ?

I would like to program my application using codeignitor such a way that users who want to customize my application need to upload files under a directory say "modules" and then can add any kind of complex functions to my application. Is this kind of programming style possible with codeignitor ?
