So I am thinking about getting back into programming on a more regular basis. Because of school I have drifted off for a little, but luckily the upcoming semester will not be as strenuous! Here is my current set up:

OS: Mac OS X 10.6.5
LOCAL: MAMP
IDE's: Coda, TextWrangler
BROWSER's: Chrome/Firefox/Safari (default of chrome)
REPO: git
FTP: CyberDuck

I am looking soon, to get a remote server but am not sure what to use. I have used eVerity in the past and I like them, but there are a lot of other options out there as well. A Small Orange caught my eye.

What is the community using? I would like to working with PHP 5.3, PEAR, PERL and the ability to instal software like XDebug. That is my limitation right now, I can never seem to get xDebug and PHPUnit to work on my local setup. My hope is that the remote host could help with that, but that is a question for another time.
