Create folders and upload to the chosen

Hi guys,

I want to create a gallery. But there should be multiple folders which get created by the admin.
So there should be:
A possibilty to create multiple folders and an upload to choose in which folder should be uploaded.

How do i create those folders?
something like $this->ftp->mkdir($folder)?

How to choose in which folder should be uploaded?
