Admin styles question

I am working on a project and right now and looking for opinions on verifying data and captchas

right now artists must be verified by an admin (they are apart of the navigation and it helps keep the site clean and spam free).

Also, users can add albums to artists at will without any verification, their username is tracked with their submission and albums can be reported as duplicate and spam. If you were in this situation would you all it do be as it is now, add a captcha to stop mass spamming, or require admin intervention?
