Template Engine

Sorry Narf, I haven't used the correct words.

At the moment CodeIgniter is treating views just as template files. My idea is to make them more than that, a simple structured Objects.
Lets say it in other way.

Template generation should not depend on Controller. I agree that Controllers decide which View to call and what data to send to it but there shouldn't be any other things. Everything should go inside the View object which is called.
There the View will pick its Layout (using its default or using a set layout from the Controller), what static elements it needs, what Title it has and other helpful things.

I hope that its more clear what I meant. I know that such different approaches are not good looking but believe me there must be a Change inside the current CI Template idea.
Its not useful for the end developer who needs to set SEO data for each page , to have some JS on just 1 page to load different style for a few pages instead using the default.

Even if my idea is not the best one, there should be a big change in this element of CI with a lot of discussions.
