Mootools, Scriptaculous, Prototype, YUI or JQuery?

I'm certain you have. In fact, there's a TON of great things that have been done with jQuery - I just have a preference for prototype. Again, I tried to make it clear that it's a personal preference versus a shot against jQuery. I don't happen to like their documentation nor do I like the way some things are implemented. Does that make it less powerful? no.

They both achieve basically the same functions; so why do people become passionate about why they feel one is better than the other?[/quote] Certainly. I just wanted to clear up some misconceptions people seemed to have about jQuery. Like has been said, use what you want to use. As long as it gets the job done, it is up to you.
