Which is best for ACL?

It is funny to find this post here and now. I am new to CI and have only been reading the docs and playing around with the framework for a couple days. I have a rather large project and need an ACL and Authentication system as well as a geo locator. I was just going through my google results for a query on 'ACL' and then came here to browse the forum to see what other might be doing with Freak.

I have only begun to formulate my ideas of a lite-weight ACL however, what I foresee is a system that uses
per-asset (class/method) athorization for groups (roles) and users.

I had hoped to use something like Freak for the authentication portion of the app but I'm not sure that's going to work...
