Seeking a CI + Node.js developer outside North America

We are looking for a solid CodeIgniter developer with at least 2 years of experience and solid PHP skills using CodeIgniter. Your JavasScript skills with web front-end should be solid as well, with experience building sites with the following:

• JQuery & JQuery UI
  
• Mustache and/or Handlebars
  
• Backbone.js
  
• Underscore.js
  
• Some mapping API like Google Maps, MapBox, or Bing Maps
  

You should also very proficient in JavaScript on the front-end. We hope you have real-world experience with Node.js (ideally) or have been through several tutorials with node such that you can pass a technical interview about Node and key concepts, solving a code problem or two to demonstrate your skills. You should relish technical challenges and are bored with building vanilla HTML/CSS sites that have mostly static content. This will be a fascinating gig, and you will be mentored by a seasoned developer who will produce detailed technical and visual design documents for you to execute to plan. You will be working with a team of 3 other developers and will be building a complex, single-page web app with real-time mobile device interaction.

Other Constraints
We are looking for someone outside the US/Canada with strong English, and will pay up to $20/hr. a 6-9 month contract with the possibility of much longer. Our last two hires from the old Ellis Lab CI forum have been getting steady paychecks for over 2 years. We work over Skype follow a an Agile-like development process that balances accountability for deliverables with the trust and freedom that you would expect from us as a professional without micro-management. We are not opposed to US or Canada-based candidates, but the truth is this is a secret, personally funded project within a company and until we get to 1.0 we won't be fully funded to affford the $45+/hr rates that domestic hires cost.
