I do not think that HMVC should be added to the CI Core but it should be an add-on, where add-on can be hooked into the core.

CI is meant to be a lean and friendly framework. It should be up to the developer to chose what to add-in, like HMVC and other things to it.
What did you Try? What did you Get? What did you Expect?
