Moving a codeignitor website to another server

Hi all,

I have zipped all files from another server, exported and imported the DB into the new server, uploaded the files and added the new DB connect info in the config.php file in application/config folder. It all seems to be connecting properly however when I attempt to login it does not recognise the login credentials and simply produces an error message. I've checked the DB and the data is in the users table so I am not sure if there is another file I need to configure or not.
