However, I haven't seen any information declaring that CI 3.x supports PHP 8.x. But, I do see that CI 4.x supports PHP 8.x, so it seems that whether we want to (or not), if we wish to keep our webapps up and running, we all will need to upgrade from CI 3.x to CI 4.x, because our webservers will soon need to be upgraded from PHP 7.x to 8.x in order to keep up with technology changes, security, etc..
